A Session With SKII's Leading Consultant at Setia City Convention Centre :)

I was very blessed today to have been able to go to a talk organised by Hai-O Marketing Sdn. Bhd. The company brought in to Malaysia a very distinguished speaker on cosmetology and all things pretty, Prof. Dr. Lawrence Lim.

Biodata Prof. Dr. Lawrence Lim
Triple diplomas. Double Masters and One PhD. So far :)

A little bit on Dr. Lim's background- he is also known as Dr. Slim, cordially due to his book written in Chinese on losing weight hehe! He is very humble and also generous with smiles- he giggles in his speech ( which is kinda cute) and kept saying that he treats us as friends, not as people who attend his talk. Some other Drs would not be as humble as he is, and that is the charm of the day- we sat there in the cold seminar room at Setia City Convention Centre, transfixed to his every word.

A session with Dr. Lim- indeed, we only got two hours to spend with Dr. Lim so it was very, very interactive- a lot of GLAMpreneurs asked a lot of lifestyle questions :)
Yes, as I mentioned just now, GLAMpreneurs attended this session. All 250 participants came from GLAM. Learning culture is made number 1 priority in our business family :)
 Events under GLAM were always with excellent food service. We always felt taken care of when it comes to course food. Our Hi-Tea in this training was delicious! I forgot to take pictures of them :)

Atie and I. I always meet Atie in gatherings such as this. She is from Johor and came all the way to Selangor just for this session. See- distance is NOT an excuse for a GLAMpreneur :)

With the man himself, Dr. Lim aka Dr. Slim :) Very friendly! My utmost respect for Dr. Slim for being so down to earth, even though he has belted so many achievements in his life *gasped*

My direct mentor, CDM Fazi, my sister in PB Johor team Zue, and myself. The beauty of this business is you get to know more new friends :)

In this session, Dr. Lim shares with us a few pointers;
  1. Health Savings Concept - how we should all be saving up on our health, rather than owing our body or overdrafting health from our body;
  2. The key ingredients of weight management - good water, good sleep, tackling metabolisme and necessary slimming aids;
  3. The importance of managing your hormones - how when you don't manage it, bad things are bound to happen;
and many other trivias that Dr. Lim had shared with us jovially in the session. Thank you Dr. Lim for your precious insight :) Upon these three major topics mentioned above, I would soon elaborate them into different articles here in my blog for better understanding, so do not forget to revisit my blog later okay? :)

How To Be Cool Like Rani Ramadhany

I admire people who knows how to play instruments well- piano, guitar, drums. Such a great coordination between left, right hands, the brain and the eyes and ear. Tabik spring for you- although yes, it is pure talent that got your jazz but most of us really work hard for any result that looks 'natural'. Right?

In the midst of admiring such talents in music, I always wonder why I never had the exposure when I was small- there was a boy who went to violin lessons, and a dear friend who went for piano lessons. When I started to work for my own income, I realized why- the parents invested a lot of money on this extra-curricular activity, which not all parents planned for their children. I had my fair share of extre-curricular activities when I was small- I was in almost every competition  there was ( choir, nasyid, story-telling, one-act play, camping, dance) and for all I know now, these experiences are what made me who I am today.

*Rani Ramadhany from Indonesia on drums. She is self-taught! Excellent job girl!*

Till today, I do not know how to play a piano or a guitar, or drums, which I am so interested in. But I know a different set of skills- I know how to sing on different tones, I can act or dance in showcases. I have a persistent determination to get it right when it comes to singing, or dancing. I was very involved in the process- I learn and I earn the experience from it all.

And fast-forward to today, I realize that I still have that spunk in me through these experiences. Every time I hit the gym I make sure I hit the one-hour mark for treadmill. Every time I record myself, I make sure I sing with the right tune. I make sure others sing the right tune too ( if I can help it). And along the way, I realized that I acquired new skills, such as typing without looking at the keyboard, writing in-depth articles, I communicate without looking like I'm trying.

Alhamdulillah for every little gift Allah has blessed me with. Day by day, I learn to admire myself instead of others. With every edge, every extra feature or flaw we have within us is a way of Allah blessing us with His greatness, how powerful He is that we have everything that we have.

I admire people who can play the drums,
but people admire me who can type while I'm in a discussion.

Moral of the story is;
if you find yourself admiring somebody,
someone somewhere is admiring you too.
Everybody is admired, including you.
